The excavations made over forty years of activity have allowed us to recover sculptures, inscriptions, pieces of pottery and other materials.

Founded in 1997 by the Municipal Administration, the picture gallery originates with a donation made by Prof. Attilio Moroni, works of art collector and Chancellor of the University of Macerata for many years. The collection is kept on the first floor of the Swabian Castle.
