Pane nociato is typicalli widespread in several areas of the Marche region; among which there is also the territory of Porto Recanati. As you can easily deduce from the name it is a fragrant and savoury bread, usually made by the bakers in autumn.

Town of sea tradition, Porto Recanati has put on the table products offered by the sea and transforming them in excellent dishes, one of them the famous “Brodetto”. Porto Recanati is in fact the guardian of one of the four classical recipes of the brodetto of the Marche, together with Fano, Ancona and San Benedetto del Tronto.
