his area has a unique coastal, characterized by a clear and pleasant seaside. The southern coast, after Ancona, is an alternate of pure white sand beaches and steep rock faces which fall over the sea.
By coming through the scoglio del Trave, the main rock which delimits Mezzavalle's bay, you can reach Portonovo's bay, the ideal place to fully enjoy a holiday within nature and relax. The Napoleon's fort ivides the beach in two and preserves architectural beauties such as the Santa Maria romanesque Church and the 18th century De Bosis's Tower. Among the several little beaches located at the feet of the rocky area, there is the one called Due Sorelle (Two Sisters), This name is due to the two big rocks which emerge from the sea. Clear sea, wide beaches and green parks are the main resources of Sirolo, an old medieval village. On the other hand, Numana, and Marcelli are the most turistic areas of the Riviera, characterized by residences, holiday villages, and restaurants.
